1: 30CrNiMo8 Steel Introduction
30CrNiMo8 is a Cr-Ni-Mo series low-alloy ultra-high strength steel. It's a German steel grade from the DIN EN 10083-3 standard. With an excellent combination of very high strength, high toughness, and good hardenability, 30CrNiMo8 is specifically designed for highly stressed and critical components. It is widely used in heavy-duty applications such as large turbine rotors, heavy vehicle gears, aircraft landing gear parts, high-strength shafts, and high-performance connecting rods. 30CrNiMo8 is almost exclusively supplied in quenched and tempered condition, with a typical tensile strength range of 1000-1200 MPa (or corresponding hardness of ~300-380 HBW).
