DIN 17200 25CrMoS4/1.7213 Quenching and Tempering Steel
1: 25CrMoS4 Steel Introduction
25CrMoS4 is a case-hardening steel from the Cr-Mo series alloy structural steel with low carbon content. It's a European steel grade from standards such as EN 10084. With good core toughness, high hardenability, and excellent machinability (especially in the leaded variant), 25CrMoS4 is widely used for critical components that require a hard, wear-resistant surface and a tough core, such as gears, shafts, camshafts, and clutch parts. 25CrMoS4 is generally supplied in a normalized or softened condition for machining and is subsequently carburized, quenched, and tempered to achieve its final properties.
