Product Description
DIN 17210 20MoCrS4/1.7323 Case-Hardening Steel
1: 20MoCrS4 Steel Introduction
20MoCrS4 is a case-hardening chromium-molybdenum steel that conforms to the EN 10084 standard, offering excellent hardenability, toughness, and wear resistance after carburizing. This makes it ideal for high-stress components such as gears, shafts, pinions, and transmission parts that require a hard surface and tough core. The steel features high core toughness for impact and fatigue resistance, good hardenability for uniform hardness distribution, excellent machinability in its annealed or normalized condition with a hardness range of 180-220 HB, and superior wear resistance capable of achieving 60-62 HRC surface hardness after case hardening.

6: Goods available in China
Limited stocks of hot-rolled 20MoCrS4 bars and plates are available in China's market, as domestic manufacturers typically prefer the equivalent 20CrMo grade. However, hot-forged bars may be sourced in small quantities. Switching to 20CrMo could enhance material availability and reduce costs. Procurement options include spot purchases, mill orders for bulk quantities, or custom forging with lead times of 2–4 weeks.
