Product Description
DIN 17210 20MoCr4/1.7321 Case-Hardening Steel
1: 20MoCr4 Steel Introduction
20MoCr4 is a case-hardening steel from the Cr-Mo series, conforming to the European standard EN 10084. With low carbon content and alloying elements like chromium and molybdenum, it offers good core toughness, high hardenability, and excellent wear resistance after carburizing and heat treatment. 20MoCr4 is commonly used in components requiring high surface hardness and fatigue strength, such as gears, shafts, camshafts, and transmission parts. It is typically supplied in a normalized or annealed condition with a hardness range of ≤217 HBW, making it suitable for subsequent machining and case hardening processes.

6: Goods available in China
While 20MoCr4 steel is available in the Chinese market, domestic manufacturers typically prefer comparable grades like 20CrMo or 20MnCr5 due to better cost efficiency and wider availability. Accepting these alternative materials can significantly reduce both lead times and procurement costs.
