1: AISI 1035 Steel Introduction
AISI 1035 steel is a medium-carbon steel grade from ASTM A20. With good strength, moderate hardenability, and excellent machinability, It is commonly employed in manufacturing shafts, spindles, pins, bolts, and other mechanical components. ASTM 1035 is typically supplied in a cold-drawn or hot-rolled condition with a hardness range of 140-180 HB. Due to its lower carbon content compared to higher-grade steels, it offers better weldability and formability while maintaining sufficient strength for general engineering purposes.
