1: AISI 1025 Steel Introduction
AISI 1025 steel is a low-carbon mild steel grade from ASTM A20. With good weldability, formability, and moderate strength, AISI 1025 is commonly used in applications requiring machinability and ductility rather than high hardness. It is widely employed in structural components, cold-formed parts, machinery frames, and low-stress fasteners. Unlike alloy steels, ASTM 1025 is not heat-treated for hardening but may be supplied in hot-rolled, cold-drawn, or annealed conditions with typical hardness below 150 HB.
