1: 1.3333 Steel Introduction
1.3333 High-speed steel is characterized by high hardness, high wear resistance and high heat resistance, which makes it ideally suited for the manufacture of complex thin-edged and impact-resistant metal cutting tools, as well as high-temperature bearings and cold-extrusion dies. Another important characteristic of HSS is its red-hardness, i.e. the ability of the cutting edge to resist softening in a red-hot state when the tool is cutting at high speeds. This characteristic makes HSS excellent in the manufacture of cutting tools for difficult-to-machine metals (such as high-temperature alloys, titanium alloys and high-strength steels, etc.).
