Product Description
DIN EN ISO 4957 1.3247 Tool Steel - High Speed Steel
1: DIN 1.3247 Steel Introduction
1.3247 steel is a high-speed tool steel renowned for its high red hardness, excellent wear resistance, and sufficient toughness. This steel grade belongs to the tungsten-molybdenum series of high-speed steels under the German standard DIN EN ISO 4957. 1.3247 steel maintains high hardness at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for manufacturing various cutting tools such as drill bits, milling cutters, taps, and saw blades. This material is typically supplied in the annealed condition with a hardness of approximately 240 HBW, and can achieve a hardness of 64-66 HRC after heat treatment.
