1: DIN 16NiCr4 Steel Introduction
16NiCr4 is a nickel-chromium alloy carburizing steel offering good toughness and core strength. It is typically supplied in accordance with the EN 10084 standard. After carburizing and heat treatment, this material achieves high surface hardness and wear resistance while maintaining excellent toughness in the core. Consequently, it is widely used for manufacturing gears, shafts, connecting rods, and other transmission components subjected to high loads. 16NiCr4 is typically supplied in the normalized or quenched and tempered condition, followed by surface carburizing and hardening treatment.
