ASTM A29 AISI 4140 Alloy Steel Bars
1: AISI 4140 Steel Introduction
AISI 4140 steel is a Cr-Mo series alloy structural steel with medium carbon. It's America steel grade from ASTM A29. With high strength, high hardenability, good toughness and small quench distortion, AISI 4140 is widely used in different kinds of steel parts, such as shafts, axles, gears, fasteners, hydraulic components. SAE 4140 is generally supplied in quenched and tempered condition with hardness 28-32HRC.

6: Goods available in China
If you want to purchase 4140 steel from China, no matter 4140 hot rolled bar or hot rolled plate, you can find the stocks from China market, but stock will be not too big, because domestic always use 42CrMo. If you can accept 42CrMo instead of 4140 material, it will save the cost.
For hot forged material, usually there are some stocks for hot forged bar, but there will be no any stock for block or forging parts, the MOQ will be only 1pcs because it's easy to get the raw material from market.
