1: 410 Steel Introduction
410 is a corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant martensitic stainless steel containing about 12% chromium. It combines the excellent wear resistance of high carbon alloys with the excellent corrosion resistance of chromium-series stainless steels to provide a wide range of mechanical properties through heat treatment. Alloy 410 is used where strength, hardness, and/or wear resistance must be combined with corrosion resistance.
